Bus Grant Program Application

Due to high demand and crowding, bus grant applications are not eligible for trips to təmtəmíxʷtən/Belcarra Regional Park or Boundary Bay Regional Park in May or June 2026. We encourage applicants to consider visiting these regional parks at other times of the year or to explore the many other beautiful regional parks for spring trips.

The Bus Grant Program is currently closed to school applicants that are not participating in volunteer stewardship or regional park restoration activities. Currently, applications are being prioritized for volunteer groups, community centres, youth organizations, seniors’ groups, and organizations supporting people with disabilities or other challenges. A limited number of applications for schools will reopen on February 1, 2026.

Please note that a minimum of 20 attendees are required.
Bus grants must be used for programs with a Metro Vancouver Regional Park as the main destination. Please note Grouse Mountain Resort, Capilano Suspension Bridge, and Seymour River Fish & Hatchery Education Centre are not eligible for grants.

The purpose of our Bus Grant program is to remove financial barriers for groups which would otherwise not have the funds to charter a bus trip to our Regional Parks. Please attach a supporting letter (PDF format) telling us why a Bus Grant is needed. We are also interested in hearing about the purpose of your trip and the nature of your group such as age range and diversity. Additionally, please let us know if you are partnering with another group to reduce costs or improve your experience.
