Metro Vancouver Regional Parks Foundation has launched a new grant to help more seniors explore the wonders of regional parks. This expanded support through our Bus Grant Program covers transportation and activity costs, making it easier for seniors to enjoy meaningful and memorable outdoor experiences—free from barriers.

Up to $1,500 per grant.

Community centres, seniors groups, seniors homes, and organizations that support people with disabilities or challenges. Seniors in Regional Parks grants require a minimum of 15 attendees. To ensure we can distribute funding as widely as possible, each organization is limited to a maximum of two bus grants per fiscal year (October-September), or as funding permits.

Seniors in Regional Parks grant applications are currently open on a rolling basis.

Fill out the online application. Send us a supporting letter of interest telling us about your planned trip.

First, we will need you to complete and return your Grant Acceptance Form (this will be e-mailed to successful applicants) within 60 days of receiving your grant approval. Acceptance Forms returned after 60 days will not be accepted and you will not receive funding.

Then, we want to hear about your trip! We require that successful applicants send us a Final Report Form after your trip to keep us both accountable for the Seniors in Regional Parks funding. We also encourage you to tag us in your regional park adventures on Instagram @mvrpfoundation.ca.

The approval process typically takes 4-6 weeks.
